World’s Finest Chocolate, based out of Chicago, has donated more than 1 million chocolate bars across the United States as a gesture of thanks to health care workers. According to the Charlotte Observer, more than 20,000 chocolate bars are being distributed to 16,000 health care workers in North Carolina.
Ted Garrett is an independent sales representative for World’s Finest Chocolate based out of Concord. He says the chocolate bars are a gesture to thank health care workers for their efforts amid the coronavirus pandemic. The donated chocolate bars will be distributed across the 11 Atrium hospitals in North Carolina.
The program launched by World’s Finest Chocolate is called Chocolate for Healthcare Heroes. Included with the donated chocolate is a letter saying thank you to the health care employees.
