The Cooper for NC campaign released a new video spot entitled “Get You Sick.” The spot shows how Dan Forest’s campaign for governor is putting North Carolinians at risk and how his policy agenda would continue to hurt the state.
“What’s worse than Dan Forest holding indoor fundraisers without masks?” the narrator asks. “How about denying you health care if you got sick at one of them?”
The spot goes on to note that Forest opposes Medicaid expansion, a policy goal supported by 77% of North Carolinians that would extend health care coverage to more than half a million people in the state.
Despite 39 other states expanding Medicaid, including Indiana under then-Governor Mike Pence, Dan Forest would “get you sick and leave you with the bill,” the ad concludes.
