Lt. Governor Dan Forest has been silent as Governor Cooper notched a success on protecting North Carolina’s coast. The Trump Administration added the state to its list of states with an offshore drilling moratorium after Governor Cooper sent a letter asking for the inclusion of his state.

In addition, in 2014 he suggested fracking was safe and that it has “never contaminated a drinking well,” despite evidence to the contrary.
