Governor Cooper urged his fellow North Carolinians to get their flu shot after he received his own. Flu season is around the corner and the governor emphasized the importance of preparation.
“The flu can be a serious, sometimes deadly disease, and getting a flu shot can help you and those around you fight the spread,” Governor Cooper said. “During the COVID-19 pandemic, getting a flu shot is more important than ever to keep ourselves and our families healthy.”
According to the Center for Disease Control, everyone 6 months old and up should get a flu vaccine each season, CBS17 reports. The flu is most common from late fall to early spring.
