Governor Cooper’s campaign announced on Monday a $5.5 million fundraising haul for the second quarter this year, according to a News & Observer report. That adds to the existing warchest the Cooper campaign retains. They now have $14 million cash on hand.

The announcement from the Cooper campaign also noted that they had received more than 100,000 contributions.

“North Carolina is in the best possible hands right now under Governor Cooper as we face this public health crisis,” a campaign spokesperson said in the statement released to the press.
