As an incentive for creating 100 new jobs, Grover Gaming in Greenville will receive a grant to assist with a $350,000 expansion of the company’s headquarters, the news outlet reports.

Company officials previously told WNCT 9 that their goal is to stay invested in the city of Greenville.
“We found that too many of our young graduates are relocating to Raleigh and Charlotte for technology and creative jobs,” said Marc Downing, Director of Compliance for Grover Gaming.

“We hope that by providing jobs in a fun creative industry we can convince some of these people to stay in Eastern North Carolina,” he added.

The Job Creation Grant was awarded during a city council meeting in the city. Mayor P.J. Connelly said that the city is excited to bring more jobs to the city through this grant. This particular grant was particularly special, he said.

“Anytime we can accomplish that [bring more jobs to the city] by helping a homegrown business grow, it is even more rewarding.”
