Atlantic Casualty Insurance Co., will create 83 jobs and invest more than $11.8 million in North Carolina through the construction of a new 30,000 square foot office building at its headquarters in Goldsboro.

A grant from the One North Carolina Fund will help finance $250,000 of the expansion. The fund provides financial assistance to local governments to help attract economic investment and to create jobs.

The grant is based on performance. Companies must meet job creation and investment targets, as well as receive a matching grant from local governments.

“When companies choose to expand in North Carolina, we know our state is doing the right things to grow our workforce,” Governor Roy Cooper said in a statement to the North Carolina Department of Commerce.
