When Hurricane Dorian struck North Carolina in September of last year, one of the wild cows of Cedar Island swept to sea was pregnant. The cow, named Dori, made it back to shore after swimming four miles and gave birth recently, the Guardian reported.

The ‘sea calf’ as it has been called was also born with a rare condition: one brown eye and one blue eye.

The cattle are wild animals that live on the coast of North Carolina. Getting close enough to photograph the calf proved difficult. “The wild cattle that lived on Cedar Island were not used to seeing humans or having them approach them,” the National Park Service said.
