According to Zumper, Raleigh is the second best place for recent college graduates to move and start their career in the United States.
The site analyzes a couple different factors, including rent prices, restaurant options, incomes and the population of younger adults. Raleigh ranked in the top half of every metric. Another local city, Durham, ranked 11th.
“[Raleigh] performed especially well with its high population of individuals with Bachelor’s degrees, which means there are many relatable people with similar educational backgrounds to this year’s new grads, and ranked in the top 20 for median income,” Zumper reports.
Other lists have placed Raleigh at the top of the heap, including financial website SmartAsset and Business Insider. Greensboro, Charlotte and Winston-Salem also featured in the top 100.
